Other things Chris likes to do!!

Whilst Chris' job as National Sales Manager tends to keep him busy, when he does have time to relax he loves nothing more than on a sunny day going out for a "blast" on his motor bike.

He has been riding bikes for around 30+ years. During his earlier years he could be seen road racing at various venues around the UK. He now tends to go "scratching" around the back lanes of his home county on Suzuki GSX 1400 (legally of course). As an accomplished Advanced Motorcylce Instructor / Rider of many years experience he spends some of his free time teaching others the virtues of advanced riding whilst keeping safe and within the law.

Chris currently has 2 bikes. Unfortunately his Triumph 1200 Trophy has some serious damage at the moment. This is due to a recent incident where a car driver decided they wanted to take a certain exit off a roundabout without noticing that Chris was in between them and the said exit. This resulted in the car trying to go through the bike and Chris, inflicting substantial damage to the bike. Luckily for Chris his injuries were only very minor due to his instinct and training that when on the public highway, expect the unexpected from other road users!!

Chris' other bike (his pride & joy) is a Suzuki GSX 1400. Not too spectacular you may think until you realise the following. There are only 9 in the country, Chris has number 1! The engine has been raced tuned. It also has upgraded breaking and exhaust systems. It is Dyna tuned and produces in excess of 146bhp. There are various other after market alterations which make this machine a one off.

As well as motor cycles Chris' other passion is Rugby. Having started playing at Grammar School it soon became apparent he had a flair for the game. He was given his school colours at just 15 and went on to play for England U-19's. He has played for top class clubs such as Rugby Lions, Coventry and Leicester. He has rubbed shoulders with many of great players of the last 30 years such as David Duckham, Les Cusworth, Dusty Hare, Gareth Davies and Hugo McNeill to name but a few.

His playing career came to an abrupt end following numerous knee operations. He retired from the top flight just as the game turned professional. Although he has not turned out to play for a few years now he still enjoys watching and supporting his favourite club Leicester Tigers.

Chris is married to Mag and they have a 2 year old German Shepherd called Morgan. Just never ring the door bell as her bark (that's Morgan's not Mag's) is enough to deter any would be intruder!!
