"Stepping Up Everest... Stomping Out Leukaemia!"

Fri May 8th - Sun May 10th 2009

Leukaemia Busters will be holding a fundraising event to try and heighten the public's awareness and generate much needed funds to further their research into finding safe and effective treatments of incurable forms of Leukaemia.

The official recorded height of Mt Everest is 29,035 feet above sea level. Over the 3 days above Chris will be in Kennet Shopping Centre, Newbury, Berkshire alongside the charity where he will be stepping up a total 30,299 times (the equivalent height of Mt Everest using an 11.5" step) wearing a 20kg back pack.

As well as this challenge, on the Saturday he will be attempting to beat the Guinness World Record for the most amounts of step ups achieved in one hour using a 15" step & wearing a 20kg back pack. The current record stands at 1,619, Chris is hoping to break the 1,700 barrier.

Further information will follow over the coming weeks regarding personality attendees, videos of his training, publicity of the event.
